Deputy to the Governor General Emphasized the Necessity of Applying New Technologies in Producing Halal Products

Political, security and social deputy to the Governor General of Khorasan Razavi said: “for the unity of conferences, to benefit from experience of various countries, to influence international markets and to expand potentials in Mashhad there is a need to establish a permanent secretariat for halal products.

According to the news headquarters of international halal conference, in the opening ceremony of this conference, Seyyed Javad Hosseini said: “the spiritual, economic and commercial benefits of halal products can be promoted throughout the world by this secretariat and harmful products can be eliminated”.

“Mashhad is like a molten furnace. Many cultural and justice-seeking virtues that exist in this city can promote and strengthen these benefits and destroy vices in the world”, said he.

The deputy to Governor General of Khorasan Razavi said: “the World Health Organization defines health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and halal products provide all of these”.

He pointed to 2500 billion dollar business volume of halal products in the world and said: “the share of Islamic countries from this turnover and how can Islamic countries make brands and stay in the market through research and using new technologies should be clarified”.

131 international conferences held in Mashhad

Pointing to the selection of Mashhad as the cultural capital of Islamic world, Hosseini said: “with the international halal conference, 131 scientific, international conferences have been hold so far in Mashhad”.

“The document center of Mashhad, the cultural capital of Islamic world was opened on December 14th. We suggest that such centers be established in Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) to serve as a source of experience for future generations”.

 

Halal brand being globalized

In a message read by his office superintendent, the Director General of ISESCO said: “the term ‘halal brand’ is going to turn into a global standard and non-Muslim countries are being attracted to this brand”.

Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri said: “if we do not apply these standards, others will hold this big market and then Muslims should sustain their halal food from non-Muslim countries”.

“Muslim countries should try hard to stay in the halal product market”, said he.
