More Satisfaction of Service Providers, an Important Goal of the Ministry of Health: Dr. Hashemi

Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education mentioned satisfaction of service providers as a priority for the ministry for the current period and said: “although it was a priority in the past, there were criticisms against it and we are trying to resolve the problems”.

In the opening ceremony of 160 construction, service, health, treatment and cultural projects by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Seyyed Hassan Hashemi congratulated the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and Emam Ja’far Sadegh (pbuh) and said: “attempts should be made that delayed payments of faculty members, nurses, paramedics, midwives, etc. be paid to them more quickly”.

Besides appreciating authorities of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences for implementing 160 construction projects, the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education said: “the speed and prime cost of conducting projects are unique in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and the School of Pharmacy and the educational, research, health, treatment, cultural and welfare complex stands out”.

“From the beginning of the eleventh government, millions of square meters of construction projects have been implemented in the country”, added Dr. Hashemi, “but, I dare to say none of these projects were implemented as quickly and cost-effectively as projects done by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. This is very appreciable”.

Pointing out that the President cares about the Health Reform Plan just like the past and the plan will continue, he said: “with financial problems resolved, we hope we fully implement this plan so that people’s health problems can be eliminated”.

Referring to establishment of a traditional medicine faculty in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, the Minister said: “with the help of traditional physicians and druggists we hope we would be able to prevent from misuses made of this precious national heir by some people”.

Stating that non-expert intervention in traditional medicine brings about bad consequences, Dr. Hashemi hoped that illegal activity of traditional medicine centers be banned by the judiciary. 

Mentioning several attempts made by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in various fields which led to improved rankings of the university, he said: “this promotion and rivalry with other universities should continue”.
